Description
Mr. Winston Spencer Churchill‘s personal calling card with the printed address lined out in ink: 2 Sussex Square —where he and his family lived in London from 1920 through 1923 — and his new address, the newly-purchased: “Chartwell” written in ink beside it, in a hand that may or may not be Churchill’s.
The card is spot-stained and somewhat worn with age, but is what it is: An amazing and virtually unique Churchillian artifact, here stunningly framed in gold leaf (10×15 inches overall) and linen-matted with a vintage black & white postcard-size print (3 3/8 x 5 inches) of James Guthrie’s exquisite post-World War I portrait painting of Winston Churchill.
