TOM HICKMAN is a journalist and author whose many books include The Call Up: A History of National Service 1947-1963, What Did You Do in the War, Auntie?: The BBC at War, and Finding Fairhaven: A Search for the Shy Lord of Anglesey Abbey.

DANIEL JENKINS was nominated for a 1985 Tony Award as Huckleberry Finn in the musical Big River (his Broadway debut). He has also delivered notable performances in innumerable Broadway musicals, including Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, and Big, among others. His extensive film work encompasses The Irishman and a long-time relationship with the director Robert Altman. He has appeared on The Good Wife, Veep, Orange is the Only Black, and many other television series.
