Chartwell Booksellers was cited this week, to our pleasant surprise, in a lengthy and quite substantive Wall Street Journal article about one independent bookstore’s “success stoy” in Atlanta (A Capella Books), affirming “the surprising survival of the independent bookstore industry” as a whole.

“Most successful longtime bookstores have their own distinctive flavor,” the story notes. Our longevity (and our specialty, Winston Churchill, if you didn’t know) were then mentioned, because we, too, have survived.
