Historic half-length formal portrait of the Prime Minister taken by Walter Stoneman for J. Russell & Sons on April 1, 1941 in the Cabinet Room at Downing Street.
The lengthy caption quotes from Churchill’s legendary speech on June 12, 1941 to Allied Delegates assembled at St. James Palace and broadcast by the BBC: “LIFT UP YOUR HEARTS. ALL WILL COME RIGHT.
