Typed paper caption affixed to the verso, dated October 20, 1944, reads:
“U.S.S.R. …Attending a dinner given by Marshal J.V. Stalin, Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars in honor of Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Great Britain and Mr. Anthony Eden were Left to Right Seated: V.M. Molotov, Ambassador W.A. Harriman, Premier Winston Churchill; Marshal J.V. Stalin, Mr. Anthony Eden, Standing Left to Right: V.M. Berezhkov; Sir Archibald Clark Kerr; V.N. Pavlov; A Birs and Ambassador F.T. Gusev.”
The photograph, which is a hazier “telephoto,” is in generally good condition, exhibiting some handling wear. The verso has a white label covering a blacked out photo credit. The credit on the paper caption reads: “International News Photo.”
