Description
A very good copy of a very rare book, Joseph McElroy’s sixth novel, at 1,192 pages one of the longest in American literature, as published by Ultramarine Press in a limited, numbered, signed edition, handsomely bound in quarter-blue leather over ornamental marbled paper-covered boards. The text is comprised of the original Knopf first edition, including its copyright and title pages. Very few copies of this limited edition were reportedly sold and the limitation of 99 copies was not fully filled by the binder.
This is copy #49, signed ink by the author on the colophon page. The book is in very good condition, square and tight, with very faint wear and modest fading to the leather, some rubbing to the corners and a touch of scuffing to the lower page edges. The contents are fine.
