Description
A very good set of Main Volume First American editions, in dust jackets that are here and there lightly edge-chipped but virtually unfaded. Volume IV jacket is neatly price-clipped, the others are all unclipped.
Volume I is signed in ink on the half-title: “Inscribed for Anne Ford by Randolph S. Churchill, Boston. 9 Dec. 66.”
Tipped-in on the page opposite this signature, is a handwritten note that reads:
This autograph was written with the gold pen Sir Winston used to sign all important documents since 1939. It was given him by his son Randolph (whose autograph this is) on his birthday.
