This is a very good First Edition copy of the updated World War I edition issued by the author, A. MacCallum Scott, of his 1905 biography, WINSTON SPENCER CHURCHILL; the very first Churchill biography ever published. New material includes a defense of Churchill’s Dardanelles strategy. The cloth here is lightly spotted and mottled, the binding is square and tight. The contents are fine but the front free endpaper has been excised and the rear free endpaper has been overwritten with ink notations.
