This very good copy of the First American edition, in an unclipped dust jacket, is inscribed, signed and dated in ink by the author: “ — with warm good wishes, Mary Soames, Hyde Park, Aug: 1992.”
Loosely laid-in additionally are a leaflet for “Joy Ride in a Paint-Box,” a 1992 exhibit of Churchill’s paintings at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library and Museum, signed in ink across the front: “Mary Soames;” a typed note about the impending exhibit on Lady Mary Soames notepaper, signed: “Mary Soames” and a Christmas card simply signed: “Mary.”
