Labour MP Emrys Hughes’s reworks his earlier book, WINTON CHURCHILL IN WAR AND PEACE (first published in 1950), updating it through 1955, with extra chapters criticizing Churchill’s performance in the Cold War. Hughes was affectionate toward Churchill but politically scathing. An interesting critical work, not often seen.
