A very good set of English First edition mixed printings, all in correct dust jackets. Volumes III-VII are signed by Martin Gilbert. The jackets, books and contents are virtually mint, including the usually fade-prone jacket spines and the topstains, here largely unfaded.

Volume I and Volume II are First Printings of the First English edition unclipped dust jackets.

Volumes III is a Third Printing of the First English edition in a price-clipped dust jacket with a later Heinemann price sticker. It is signed “Martin Gilbert”in ink on the title page.

Volumes IV is a Third Printing of the First English edition in a price-clipped dust jacket. It is signed “Martin Gilbert” in ink on the title page.

Volumes V is a Third Printing of the First English edition in an unpriced or clipped dust jacket. It is signed “Martin Gilbert” in ink on the title page.

Volumes VI is a Second Printing of the First English edition in a price-clipped dust jacket. It is signed “Martin Gilbert”in ink on the title page.

Volumes VII is a First Printing of the First English edition in price-clipped dust jacket. It is signed “Martin Gilbert”in ink on the title page.

Volumes VIII is a First Printing of the First English edition in a later unpriced dust jacket. The book is virtually mint.
