Description
This is a very good set of English First editions, all in correct uniform dust jackets with bright spine color, as issued, through COMPANION Volume VI (Part 3) [at which point Heinemann ceased publishing the Official Biography].
All volumes are unprice-clipped.
MAIN Volume I dust jacket is very slightly edge-chipped. The contents are fine, with faint scattered foxing to the fore-edges only.
Volume II jacket has the publisher’s later price sticker on the front flap, else fine.
Volume III jacket is very slightly edge-chipped at the head and along the rear fold.
Volume IV jacket is significantly less faded along the notoriously fade-prone spine, but has a strip of fading along the lower edge of the front face.
The contents are fine, if ever so slightly toned at the prelims, with a faded topstain and some roughness to the cloth.
The contents of all volumes are otherwise fine, with bright top stains.
