A limited number of slipcased “HAT BOXES” were issued by Knopf on the occasion of the publication of LOOK, I MADE A HAT: Collected Lyrics (1981-2011), the companion volume to FINISHING THE HAT: Collected Lyrics (1954-1981).
This “HAT BOX” contains mint First Edition copies of both volumes. It is signed in black ink on the slipcase by Stephen Sondheim, who signed these for Chartwell Booksellers.
Also laid-in is an original invitation to the 2010 publishing party for FINISHING THE HAT that was held at Chartwell Bookselers.
