The notorious American adventurer and soldier of fortune who led numerous expeditions into South and Central America. He overthrew Spain in Nicaragua, 1855-7, was briefly the country’s president and was executed in Honduras, 1860. A classic, and uncommon.

A very good copy with slight shelf wear and slightly foxed end papers, except for bumped corners, one badly with badly frayed cloth, without dust jacket.
