Collector's Guide

The End of the Beginning was the third volume of Churchill’s collected World War II speeches  (covering 1942). It is a gloomy assemblage until the Battle of Alamein: “I have never promised anything but blood, tears, toil and sweat. Now, however, we have a new experience. We have victory – a remarkable and definite victory.” Churchill’s speeches were collected and published yearly throughout the war in the U.K. and the U.S.

Description

A very good copy of the Second Printing of the First American edition, in a bright, price-clipped dust jacket with light edge-chipping, else fine. The contents are fine, with a former-owner’s name in ink on the front free endpaper.
