Description

This is a very good copy of the First Canadian edition without dust jacket as issued. PRESENTATION COPY inscribed on the flyleaf in ink by the regiment’s commander, Lt. Col. S. Maynard Rogers, and dated 8 July, to the 5th Massachusetts Volunteers. The book has been given a new spine; the hinges have been repaired. The corners of the cloth cover are slightly worn, and there is a faint damp-spot on front cover. Contents fine and include period advertisements from Ottawa-area businesses.
