A very good set overall, published in Paris a year after Byron’s death. Bound in brown oasis leather over green cloth, there is shelf wear to the spines along the joints, and the leather has oddly darkened to green on the boards but remains brown on the spines. The top edges are gilded, the endpapers are richly marbled and there are tissue-guarded portrait frontispieces in each volume. The contents are fine.
