Description

The history of Churchill’s cavalry regiment through five campaigns in France.

“This unique body of horsemen,” wrote Churchill in his Foreword, “became the one mobile reserve on which Lord French and Lord Haig in turn counted to throw into any gap that might be made in the front by the sudden attack of the enemy.”

This is a very good copy of the First English edition, without dust jacket, clean, bright, and unfaded, with only minor scuffing to the rear board and minor bumping to corners. The gilt is bright, the contents are clean and tight, with faint foxing to prelims and fore-edges and an elaborate bookplate on the front pastedown.

Scarce thus.
