Collector's Guide

Step by Step is a chilling anthology of Churchill’s prescient newspaper pieces about the rising Nazi threat, written for the Evening Standard and Daily Telegraph, commencing in 1936 with Hitler’s reoccupation of the Rhineland, through the final months before the declaration of war in 1939.

This is a very good copy of the Third Impression of the First English Edition, reprinted in the month of publication. The unclipped dust jacket has darkened and even browned a bit with age, particularly along the spine, but is intact and in admirable condition.

The book is virtually mint; the green cloth bright, the binding crisp. The contents are fine and unfoxed, with an ink gift inscription, dated “Sept. 1940,” on the front free endpaper.
