This fourth volume of Churchill’s collected postwar speeches (February 7, 1951 – December 11, 1952), encompasses Churchill’s return as Prime Minister amidst battles with Labour over rationing and all manifestations of socialism, as well as debates on Red China and the Korean War.
This is a very good First English edition copy in a price-clipped Second State dust jacket. Printed black with white type, rather than the original pale-green type, this jacket was issued in 1961 to wrap books bound from First Edition sheets left unbound in 1953. The jacket is considerably rarer than the original First Edition copies. It is here preserved in very good condition, save for a 2-inch loss at the spine tail. The contents are fine; the boards just a trifle bowed.
