Thoughts and Adventures is a terrific anthology of Churchill essays and magazine articles from the 1920s and early 1930s on a wide variety of subjects, including, especially, his much-loved essay “Painting as a Pastime.” It was issued in the U.S. under the title Amid These Storms.
Description
This is a very good copy of the rare French wartime edition, in pictorial self-wraps. Aside for some age-darkening, throughout the contents are fine.
A first French edition was published in 1932 in conjunction with the first English edition but this wartime edition, with a publication date of 1944, is in some ways more intriguing.
