This original cartoon from Punch Magazine, dated September 22, 1926, is in very good condition. The caption reads:
“Mr. Stanley Baldwin. ‘I rather hoped that the coal-cellar would have been filled by now.’ Mr. Churchill. ‘We have exerted ourselves to the utmost, sir, but I confess that the result has hitherto been negligible.’”
Drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells.
