This original cartoon from the British humor magazine Punch, dated April 1, 1925, is in very good condition. The caption reads:
“The Tax-Payer Hen. ‘They may cackle, but I laid it.’”
It was drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells.
