This original cartoon from the British humor magazine, Punch, dated, January 7, 1925, in very good condition. The caption reads:
“British Taxpayer (to Chancellor of the Exchequer). ‘Bon voyage! And, if the French say anything to you about their inability to pay, don’t forget mine.’”
Drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells.
