This original cartoon from the British humor magazine, Punch, dated, November 21, 1923, in very good condition. The caption reads:
Policeman at Downing Street. ‘Now, then, what do you want?’ Chorus of unemployed. (Lord Birkenhead, Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Churchill and Sir Donald Maclean) ‘We’ve come to thank the prime minister for giving us the chance of a job.’”
Drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells.
