This original cartoon from the British humor magazine Punch, dated February 19, 1913, is in very good condition. The caption reads:
Mr. Churchill. ‘What price German Navy?’ Admiral Tirpitz. ‘Give you 8 to 5.’ Mr. Churchill. ‘I want 2 to 1.’ Admiral Tirpitz. ‘Well I’ll make it 16 to 10.’ Mr. Churchill. ‘Right, I’ll take you.’”
It was drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells.
