A very good copy of the First American edition, in an unclipped dust jacket. A previous owner’s initials and a date are discreetly written in brown ink on the last page, else fine. Cheever’s New York Times obituary and other clipped articles about him from June 1982 are laid-in at the rear, resulting in some toning to the endpapers.
