Lord Randolph Churchill was Winston Churchill’s first work of biography and an impassioned two-volume defense of his maligned father’s posthumous reputation. It was subsequently issued in an unabridged one-volume edition and is a bulwark of any Churchill collection.
Description
This is a very good First American edition set. The red cloth retains strong color, though the spines have darkened considerably, with fraying to the spine heads. The frontis gilt titles and gilded top fore-edges are bright. The contents are fine and unfoxed but the front free endpaper has been excised from Volume I and the hinges are tender.
