Lord Randolph Churchill was Winston Churchill’s first work of biography and an impassioned two-volume defense of his maligned father’s posthumous reputation. It was subsequently issued in an unabridged one-volume edition and is a bulwark of any Churchill collection.
Description
This is a good-very good First English edition set. The bindings are square but the hinges are giving, front and rear, in both volumes. The gilt lettering is quite bright and the cloth is still a strong red, faded a bit more on the spines. The contents are fine and unfoxed.
