Description
One of Churchill’s earliest biographers updates his original 1927 work, carrying the story through Churchill’s opposition to the India Act and his alarms against the gathering Nazi threat. This is a very good copy of this Third Revised English Edition, in the extravagantly rare dust jacket, which is extraordinarily fresh, with just a hint of loss at the spine head and tail. The taupe-yellow cloth is brilliantly fresh and bright. The upper right corner is a bit crunched. The fore-edges are lightly foxed, the front free endpaper is missing and there is a tiny former-owner name in ink on the front pastedown. The contents are otherwise fine. Really a fascinating volume.
