A very good copy of this Third Revised English Edition, in the rare dust jacket, which is extraordinarily fresh, just a hint of loss at the spine head and tail. The deluxe taupe-yellow cloth is brilliantly fresh and bright. The upper right corner is a bit crunched. The fore-edges are lightly foxed and there is a tiny former-owner name in ink on the front pastedown. The contents are otherwise fine.
One of Churchill’s earliest biographers updates his original 1927 work, carrying the story through Churchill’s opposition to the India Act and his alarms against the gathering Nazi threat.
