Striking original press photograph of Winston Churchill taken through the window of his limousine, seated beside his daughter Sarah and just behind Anthony Eden, during Churchill’s stay in New York, while on his way to meet with President Truman in Washington D.C., January 1952. Caption handwritten in black pencil on verso is dated January 6, 1952 and reads: “Accompanied by his daughter, Winnie & Eden are driven to Floyd Bennett Field where they boarded President’s plane for capital.”
The photograph is here matted with a handsome, flowing ink signature, dated 1952 in Churchill’s hand, and strikingly framed in stained white oak (20 x 24 inches overall).
