A marvelous example of inimitable Churchillian phrasemaking at its best, crafted in a letter to Alfred B. Strauss of New York City on 28 Hyde Park Gate letterhead (7 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches), dated 20 June,1951:
Dear Mr. Strauss,
How very kind of you to have sent me some more PUNCH Double Coronas. These are most agreeable cigars, and I hope you will accept my warm thanks for your friendly thought. Let me once more retaliate, as only an author can, by sending you another of my books, which I trust you may like to have.

The letter is in very good condition, here matted and gorgeously framed (14 1/4 x 20 inches overall) with a delightful 1953 photograph of Churchill seated beside his dog Rufus in a car outside of No. 10. smoking a big Double Corona cigar.
