This is a very good copy of the deluxe limited first edition, Number 119 of 151 copies specially bound with an original drawing in color, signed by the author.
The book also has been signed on the colophon page by the author: “To Arthur, from Ludwig,” and is in the publisher’s original cardboard slipcase, which has been boldly inscribed in ink by Bemelmans: “Dear Arthur, here is the next picture, love, Ludwig.”
