This is a very good copy of the Deluxe Limited Frst Edition, Number 119 of 151 copies specially bound with an original drawing in color, signed by Bemelmans. The book is also signed by the author on the colophon page: “To Arthur, from Ludwig,” and is preserved in the original publisher’s cardboard slipcase, which has been boldly inscribed in ink by Bemelmans: “Dear Arthur, here is the next picture, love, Ludwig.”
