A virtually mint copy of the First American edition, signed and dated “Oct. 3, 1974” by the author in ink on the front free end paper. The words “REVIEW COPY” are inked below the signature. The dust jacket is in near-fine condition, with only slight discoloring on the back. The New York Times obituary for Susan Fromberg Schaeffer, dated August 31, 2011, is laid-in at the rear.
