Description

This definitive biography of Edward (“Eddie”) Marsh, Churchill’s longtime private secretary and close friend, includes texts of a number of original Churchill letters. Marsh accepted the post of private secretary in 1905 and went on to accompany Churchill to every government post that he occupied until Marsh’s retirement thirty years later.

This is a very good copy of the First English edition, in an unclipped dust jacket with a touch of discoloration and edge-chipping at the head of the spine. The contents are fine, if very lightly foxed at the prelims and along the fore-edge.
