This was the first American appearance for Churchill’s marvelous essay about his love of flying, following U.K. publication in Nash’s Pall Mall (June 1924), where it was subtitled: “The Story of His Experiences in the Years Before the War & Some Memories of Gustav Hamel.” The essay was later included in THOUGHTS AND ADVENTURES.
This is a very good copy of a truly ravishing magazine that also included new writing from Edna Ferber, Arthur Train and Rex Beach.
