Description

As-new, in dust jacket.
A very bitter bit of revisionist history that accuses Churchill of virtual Hitler-like genocide through neglect in India. Since Churchill counted on India during the war as a bulwark againt Japan, and spent years before and after World War II warning of the bloodshed he envisioned when independence would be granted and attempting to protect the Indian population from it, it’s hard to see how the author can make this accusation of callousness stand up. But she does try.
