On Thursday, March 10, 2016, we hosted an evening with Sonia Purnell, discussing her excellent new biography, CLEMENTINE: The Life of Mrs. Winston Churchill.

In all of our long existence, we had never formally celebrated Clementine Churchill’s April 1 birthday here at Chartwell Booksellers. This was an oversight that, with Ms. Purnell’s help, we finally redressed.
