Description
Churchill furtively climbs into the boxcar for his escape from the Boers; 1 of 25 cards in a “Famous Escapes” series that was issued in 1926 in three different-sized cards, of which this is the smallest size (5 x 2½ inches). A one-paragraph account of the escape is printed on the verso. The card has darkened a bit with age, else fine.
