A beautiful copy of this legendary fine press book produced by the Grabhhorn Press for Ransohoffs department store of San Francisco in a limited edition of of 250 copies. The folio-sized volume reprints with exquisite typography six essential Churchill speeches of the war, broadcast on December 23, 1940; February 9, 1941; April 27, 1941; May 3, 1941; June 22, 1941; and August 24, 1941.
The cloth is fresh, the binding is crisp, the blue-grey leather spine label remains bright and unfaded. The contents are fine, with a former owner’s discreet vintage bookplate on the front pastedown. The book is preserved in the original plasticine dust wrapper.
