Still a marvelous, hard to find monograph, formerly the definitive work, since expanded upon by Coombs in SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL: HIS LIFE AND HIS PAINTINGS (see item # 9380]. This is a very good copy of the First English edition, in a dust jacket that is edge-chipped, with loss of approximately 1-inch across the head of the front face and more significant losses across the rear face. Contents fine, with a former owner name discreetly blind-stamped on the front free endpaper and inked numerals stamped on the rear free endpaper.
