Description

This is a very good copy of the First English edition of a somewhat rare book.R.W. Thompson wrote four volumes of what were essentially Churchill critiques. This, his fourth, also revealed the main source of his first, A YANKEE MARLBOROUGH, and subsequent writings: Desmond Morton, who had been Churchill’s World War I colleague and chief intelligence collaborator during his Wilderness Years, before falling out with Churchill after he became PM.

This is an Ex-Library book but the only Library marking is a “Withdrawn” inkstamp from the Kent County Library on the copyright page. The dust jacket is unclipped but lightly shelfworn, with a short closed tear on the front face. There are some stains to the fore-edge, the contents are otherwise fine.
